Yes, very much so.

But 7 hours to render 3 minutes of video is not the problem
with your computer being slow. Something else is wrong.
If it were me, I would find out why it is taking so long.
I edited a 55 minute program on a 300MHz machine using
Premiere 5.1 and it didn't take anywhere near 7 hours to
render the whole thing.
