You can make a digital "clone" of your DV tape directly 
to DVCAM without losing anything. Or you can connect a 
DVCAM VCR or camcorder to your computer and output 
directly to DVCAM.  I use a Sony DSR-20 (DVCAM VCR) 
with DVCAM and mini-DV interchangably.  On the Firewire, 
there is no significant difference between miniDV and DVCAM.
