Well, I've been posting like this since the early '90s and haven't had
a complaint (until now). Should I remove the space? Add more dashes?

I actually had a long post composed with my specific requirements, but
have found of late that the more general questions bring out the more
general responses, which was appropriate for me when I posted that, so
I simplified/

How about this: "gosh, I'm way behind on this and an wondering if
there's a general consensus as to what of these two editing platforms
are best?"

Neither. My last American new car purchase swore me off of that.

I own Vegas, but it's 3 versions old (catching up), so I was simply
wondering what the landscape is out there in the range I can afford. I
can update Vegas for an amount that is only a couple of hundred less
than I can get a Premier suite for.

I'm looking for an editing production application to do documentaries,
mainly, but I'm hoping to venture into other video production genres.
I want to keep my options open, that way.

Adobe seems to have a pretty nice thing going with their Video
Collection suite (video production, audio post, DVD publishing). Does
the Sony suite compare?
