Yeah, that's how I have done it. I had to take someone's Hi8 camera of
a wedding and ultimately digitize it. The only problem is that the
Canon GL1 I was using would not record straight through firewire to
Premiere. I had to record it to a MiniDV tape first. I can plug the
camera into firewire and record straight to the camera when using it on
camera mode. BUT, If I run the A/V from the Hi8 cam into the GL1, I
have to record it to the tape and then play the tape into the computer.
