Nappy, you and I have come to the same conclusion. Reviews are written
for the lowest denominator. It used to be that you could read the
first 3 paragraphs to get the overview and read further to get details.
Today it's all over.
Point? The publishing industry (mags and newspapers) are in deep
trouble. They can't afford to run a scathing review of a product
because they fear they might lose an advertiser. Watch what happens
to your local and national newpapers in the next 5 years. The Times
just let 1/3 of their photo staff go! Other papers are asking readers
with digital cameras to send them pictures.
The Internet. The Internet! It's where you can learn the details.
