Call the Sony rep for that. Or if it's critical, _really_ pin your dealer
to the wall with this question, and make it a possible "return it' issue.
I bought the JVC 6000, and despite the manual saying that a single-channel
insert is possible, (actually, it says that in 32khz mode, you can do either
a ch 1/3 insert, or a ch 2/4 insert.) But this feature simply doesn't work.
It replaces all 4 audio channels ! I have the JVC controller, and
everything.

Buy the DRS-80 or the DSR-2000 unless you absolutely need the space. You'll
be much happier with it in an old-school linear suite.
