I thought it was an Aussie thing, all our adverts show it - we drink
beer out of the keg! <bg>

I think I read somewhere that aircraft engines are a frequency very
close to the human voice, and are the hardest thing to remove from an
audio track - can anyone confirm that?

I'm just learning all about audio, I've never had to pay much attention
to it in my filming before, most of what I've filmed has been outdoor
activities, where the captured sound has been suitable.

Now I'm doing other types of filming sound has become more important,
and I'm having to learn all about it. I've gone back to college (a
mature student at 40 and following a health scare) to improve my skills,
and audio has been one area I've been learning a lot about.

We've had to record audio in difficult situations, our Tutor is good at
making sure we can see how bad it can be .... but we've also got lots of
tips about how to record good sound, particularly outdoors.

And the one thing I've avoided is recording while there are any aircraft
flying over - I did one take deliberately and tried to remove the
aircraft noise, almost impossible without making the voices sound like
strangled chickens!
