One of our "customers" wants to take pictures on HD tape so that they
can archive the results for 'future use.' BUT the only use in the next
year or two will be for SD movies on public access TV.

Is this a reasonable idea?

Is the conversion from HD to SD best done in the camera or in the video
editor or what?
