I've never found this to be all that difficult, even without any kind
of "automatic feature". Espcially if you are familiar with the music.
Good luck. Its fun.
You might consider trying to mix some ambient (i.e. audience)
sound in with the "sterile" board-feed. Otherwise, you'll see the
audience on the video, but not hear them. This is frequently
creepy. Or at least record the board feed on one channel and
ambience (even from the camcorder mic) on the other channel,
etc.
