Depends on what your budget is.
A lot of Audio post work ADR and Foley is going to start costing espeialy if
it's a long piece.
Always better to try and capture as much stuff live as you can.
Don't forget that keeping the camera rolling between takes allows atmos to
be recorded and then cutr in under the live action in post for little more
than the cost of the extra tape.
Sounds to me like you need a 416 or some such directional mic to allow
direction audio recording without the mic in shot.
