The TRV900's successor, the TRV950, has poorer video quality than the
TRV900. Unfortunately, Sony decided to kill this particular model,
presumably because it was competition for the prosumer line. I missed the
opportunity to buy a TRV900 when they were on the market, so bought a
VX2000, rather than the decidedly poorer TRV950. The VX2000, and it's
successor, the VX2100, is a spectacular camera that produces stunning video,
saturated low-noise color and has incredible low-light performance.
Unfortunately, it has both a bigger form factor and is substantially heavier
than the TRV900.
