That might be, but he has also reviewed Canopus products and likes them,
along with Premiere. So what does that make him? He sells these products
and has access to use them. Biased? Maybe. You have to be the judge of

That depends. How many NLE's do background rendering where you can
continue to work while rendering takes place? There are other features
that have put Liquid out in the forefront.
As for the v7, that is a matter of personal opinion. If anyone wants to
see what new features were added to make Liquid v7 here is the link. You
decide if it is worth it or not.

Also, add Commotion compositing effects to that list.

These new additions (v7) came after Avid bought Pinnacle. Now, Pinnacle
might have been working on these during the "negotiations", it is still
Avid. And only time will tell with this product. I have not used any of
Avid's products, so can't speak on their "upgrade" or "revisions"
timeframe. I do know from Liquid, owning it from v5.5. I am very happy
with it.
