Agreed. Avid's interfaces are stiff and old. They have a large user base and
are keenly afraid to make radical changes to their apps. Liquid is probably
one of the least used NLE apps in the pro world. Here in LA I have never
even seen a Liquid setup running anywhere.

As for the GPU rendering.. I certainly don't want code tied to any hardware.
That has been Pinnacle's problem over the years. Most other NLEs do all
their real time stuff without depending on a GPU. That's my preference for
sure. After going through a number of NLEs in the 90s that were hardware
dependent I have abandoned that approach.
