Did you try and do a black-balance? I think with some camera's you have to
hold the black-balance for a few seconds to start a really thorough one
which can remove dead pixels. If you bring them to a Sony service-center,
they can mask them out (up to a certain amount).
It can be that the CCD is about to die, or maybe it had a rough treat of
solar x-rays somewhere on a flight.
