Core Sound offers the broadest selection of very high quality, good
sounding, reasonably priced, rugged, matched-pairs of miniature
omnidirectional and cardioid microphones. They've been favorably
reviewed by many folks on the network and are in use at many
professional studios. They're used to unobtrusively record concerts,
rehearsals, Foley work, location sound, travel, ambience, dictation,
court testimony and lectures to Flash Memory recorders, DAT, MiniDisc,
analog cassette and video. They are also excellent for sound
reinforcement and amplifying acoustic musical instruments. Our mics are
specifically designed to record extremely loud sound sources and have
very low distortion.
I believe they are the best performing microphones in their price class
(ranging from $75 to roughly $980 per pair). They can be clipped on the
ear pieces of your glasses near your ears, clipped under a collar,
mounted on a stand, sewn into the crown or bill of a hat, mounted into
elastic eyeglass retainers ("Croakies") or clipped to any convenient
surface. They can be used to make both binaural and stereo
recordings. We offer three convenient, flexible mounting options.
We are the originators of the modern, miniature binaural microphone set
now widely used by concert tapers. Beware of copies!
Details and copies of user comments provided on request -- or see our
Web site.
We also manufacture PDAudio (a 24/96 handheld DAT recorder replacement),
Mic2496 (a handheld 24/96 mic pre/A-to-D) and are full-line DPA
Microphones & M-Audio dealers.
On the Internet since 1990.
