I have a fully operational LN D-8 that records in DV on Hi-8
tape, plays Hi-8 (or D-8) tapes outputting in DV, and also
does FireWire-in/out - analogue-in/out, $525. See

Maybe not what you are looking for, but you get a nice,
"high-end" Sony D-8 model that you can also use as a camera
and deck...
