9.4 i think. Its pretty good. As with lots of software of this type,
it seems to have audio out of sync issues.

how bout that, your moviemaker rips DVDs to mpg? I cant get mine to do
that. I wonder if i need to "upgrade" it.

I have DVD shrink and havent had a problem with it, however, i have
not tried to rip any mpgs from DVDs originally created with DVD
shrink. tha tmight be somethign for you to think about... can you try
your theories on a DVD not made from Shrink?
