ah... I just realised another reason why I use powerdvd... it was free
:O))
Funnily enough I used to have powervcrII on my old puter, which was
about a third of the power of my current setup and ran win98. The
program was perfect and much better than any other one for watching
tv, grabbing images and recording to HD. I tried it again recently on
this machine and it stinks, so this may well be an individual thing.
Most people I recommend powerdvd to are more than happy with it
