Sam's Club has 100 DVD +R or -R 16x discs for $42. I bought some and
the MID is MCC. That's the Mitsubishi Chemical Co. in Japan, which
means it is the really good stuff.

I burn DVD video on those Verbatim discs at 16x with my NEC 3540. I
use DVD Decrypter with Verify. I have not had one coaster.
