The pictures contained in the Apple MOV file are going to be quite low
resolution. No matter what method you use to capture the image, and
there are several, you're not going to get decent quality pictures.

If you have access to prints or even negatives of the pictures you want
you'd be far better of using a scanner to copy the pictures.
