Verbatim +Rs (printable) work very well for me but had some incompatibilities
with some older players, where I use Sony (non-printable). Also the HPs were
very "compatible" with these players but nowadays I have trouble to find them.

Find a brand that works and stick to it.

In alternative, if RWs are OK and you do not plan to create too many copies,
use RWs. Their price is dropping... I repeat, I have never seen compatibility
problems with RWs.
