One new piece of information.

I just learned that I can do High-Speed Copies to a VR mode DVD-RW from the
hard Drive. This tells me that the drive is working but the directory info
got corrupted when I deleted the last file. This also indicates that there
must be someway for the factory to recover the data without wiping the drive.

Anyone have any thoughts on this finding?
