After getting hosed for a measly twenty bucks (arguably hosing myself by not
recording some security key information...) on some MP3 downloads from iTunes
I've sworn that stuff off for good.

Now the only stuff that goes on my iPod is that which I ripped myself from plain
old garden-variety CDs or recorded myself from vinyl.

As far as I'm concerned, the current implementation of DRM just isn't worth it
to me. I can get music elsewhere. Money isn't the point. It's the hassle.

Same with DVDs. I've never bought a pirate version, but probably would pay
about the same as I'd pay at Circuit City just to avoid having to scrabble off
four "Security" stickers and sit through the stern warnings every time I play
 the thing.
