I have two new Sony DVD HDD recorders: an RDR-HX710 and an RDR-HX910. When
you do a dub from HDD to DVD-R disc on either machine you can either dub at
"high-speed mode" or in real time (1x).
From tests I have done and from the time taken to burn, the high-speed mode
appears to be ~12x. At this burn speed the discs produced won't play
reliably at over 3X ff replay speed on other machines, neither will they
play in reverse play mode at all.
I have been advised that the was round this is to set the maximum burn speed
to 4x.
Would anyone know of a way of doing this?
The alternative is a lot of thumb-twiddling while everything burns at 1x
speed...
