I meant dubbing. 3x burns are obscene.

I am supposed to get 1,000 burns with my Verbatim DVD +RW discs, for
which I paid $1. I do not need 100,000 burns to amortize $1 per disc.

yes, I agree that there are occasions when that format could come in
handy. However the cost and slow burn time is a helluva price to pay.

BTW, I have never started recording on the fly. If I did, the latency
would be about 5 seconds. If I could miss the beginning of a program
then I can miss another 5 seconds.
