I assumed you were being a smart ass, but I tried to answer your question
honestly. Its 9.3 x 17.1 x 1.7 , which is pretty standard size today, in
fact most av components are generally around 17 inches wide or so for rack
mounting. My Pioneers are both about 9 x 16.6 x 1.85 inches. My older
retired Toshiba was actually a lot bigger. Cyberhome 300 is 9.1 x 8.75 x
2.0, so its taller, but narrower and you couldnt rack mount it since its too
narrow, way to go Cyberhome...
How small do you want it to be? I think they are too small now(especially
in height) and dont have enough free space inside to help with cooling sinc
emost are passively cooled, thats IMHO on reason why they die so much faster
these days. Thats the reason I pointed out all the things that most normal
DVD players have on them, you mentioned nothing more than a 5.25" tray,
dictating certain size limits necessary to get things the like a readable
display, a full size tray, usable front panel controls by actual adult human
fingers, and all the outputs on the back. If its too big for your needs,
you look for smaller alternatives..I was being 100% sincere in my previous
reply, and YOU chose to take it the way you did....
