 Thanks PON.
 
 That's what I already end up with once I perform my current long winded
 process.
 
 What I'm really looking for, though, is a DVD recording machine that
 plays .ts or .dvr-ms as native files the way that some DVD players can
 cope with straight .mpg or divx files. The current method of converting
 to DVD is too cumbersome and also sometimes results in skips and sync
 problems.
