My old dvd player has bit the dust.
The biggest thing about this player was the 16 step variable zoom. On
some things I like to zoom in "just a little bit". 2X is too close.
Also, I have some old anamorphic dvd's that when you play them are
already zoomed up very close. I have to "zoom out" to get it to look
correctly. This function also works well with some tv's that cut off
the top and bottom.
The new toshiba's don't seem to have these functions.
Also, with the 4700, there are video adjustments for brightness,
contrast, color, tint, dolby nr, and edge enhancement.
Simply the most versitile player that I have ever seen.
You can also turn off the on screen prompts so you don't see "play"
or "pause" every time you do somthing. This makes editing very nice.
Does anyone know of a player that will do all the things that this
does?
