I found a toshiba sd 4700 at a pawn shop. It was manufactured in
july01. It will not play burned dvd's very well. Some, I just get a
disk error. One +rw played fine, but another +rw burned with the same
standalone machine and on the same media did not. even plain -r will
freeze and not play. Also, the zoom function did not work correctly
when the screen saver is off. With the screen saver turned on, it works
fine.
My old sd4700 did not have any of these problems. Played all formats
fine. It was manufactured in october 01.
Do you think I need an update? or is it another problem? If I get an
update disk, can I install it myself? Is there any extra equipment
needed? TIA, mes.
