 I've never heard of such problems being the result of an NEC drive.
 
 Sony protection is a problem - however, DVD Fab Decrypter is constantly
 being updated to troubleshoot this. DVD Decrypter is no longer being
 updated, so it can't cope single-handedly with Sony. It is recommended to
 run DVD43 or AnyDVD in the background if you encounter problematic disks
 like this.
