NEC 3550A (brand new).
The problem occurs with Imation (FUJIFILM03) DVD-R India, Memorex (CMC
MAG.AE1) DVD-R country unknown, and Imation (MCC 003) DVD+R country
unknown disks. All are rated at 8X, and all were burned at 4X. (My TY
+Rs will be here tomorrow.)
The strange thing is that none of the home movie DVDs I've made with the
Sony with ANY of the disks has the freezing problem. Therefore, assuming
that the problem is commercial movies on the Sony, is the problem in the
rip or the write? My guess is the rip, since I don't have the original
disks any longer.
