I tried dvdSanta but it took over 1 hour to convert a 45 min avi. Then
I tried WinAvi and it took about 20 minutes.

I removed dvdSanta and WinAvi fussed about missing codecs. It said to
find them on its website but I could not find them easily and gave up.
So I reloaded dvdSanta and now things are back where they were.

I tried making both VOBs and MPG2s. You have to make sure you are
using a DVD-compliant resolution like 720x480 because the default
isn't compliant for NTSC.

I had to run the MPGs thru VideoReDo to clean up the rather bad audio
sync problems. Then off to TDA, Shrink and Decrypter for the burn. All
in all that process for 4 episodes at 45 min. each took over 2 hours.

The VOBs won't import directly into Shrink - some kind of error. I
cleaned them with VRD and the resulting MPGs worked. So it does not
pay to fool with VOBs - just make MPGs and be done with it.
