Have you connected by scart or are you trying to record through the RF
lead? I don't own a freeview box but assume it's the same as digital
sky. The signal FROM the box is a digital one and won't show through
your RF lead. Hook up the box via scart and it should work on your
VHS, or on a new dvdr.
