Perhaps the most distrubing aspect of the rootkit fiasco is that Sony
doesn't give a shit about what the software might do to a future operating
system. They may be just stories, but supposedly Widnows Vista testers
had crash problems after the root-kit was installed. I had a Windows
Media Player patch disable all my audio and DVD burning programs except
Record Now (was able to delete it), and that was written for the XP
system. I hope the suits that make such programs illegal succeed.
