To answer your question, I didn't know it was an off brand. I'm new to this
whole thing. So far it has performed fine except for not playing home
recorded dvds. I think it is a system issue as everything I have burned
plays on my home system. I also have the same trouble playing home recorded
dvds from other peoples systems.

Now, let me ask you a question. Do you have anything useful to help me with
my problem?

And another question: What's a Newegg?
