To get a reply you need more details such as what was the brand and
model of the DVD recorder you were having problems with?
How did you have the Sky decoder connected to your DVD Recorder?
Most if not all DVD recorders should be able to connect to a sky
decoder.
You might be able to buy a DVD recorder on the condition that it
successfully connects to your Sky decoder.
