Asian manufacture dummy -- not user abuse as you likely suspect. These
things are designed to FAIL right out of the box, and when they don't,
it's a miracle. It's also why the CONsumer electronics market has
turned into a literal CRAP-shoot.

I enjoyed a beautiful 20" Sony table-top monitor (with surround sound)
for over 15 years, and when I finally had to replace it last September,
I went through ONE Panasonic and THREE brand new Sony sets before I got
one without a factory flaw, so let's not wallow in any delusions about
this racket.

And yours serves as another perfect example of people who can't see the
forest through the trees, and that only fools compare trash with trash.

That means the better advice is to quit making Asia rich and to avoid
retailers like Walmart, but we know it's already way too late for that.
