Then it must be the fact that I add text to the first frames of the 
clip for menu identification. I will try it without doing that.

I process them thru VRD.

Then why does TDA successfully author those files but MF4 doesn't? 
 
I still say there is a major bug in MF4. The fact that it won't even 
import one of the files correctly before I do anything tells me MF4 is 
screwed up somehow.
