What we need is a DVD-HDD that has a built-in TCP/IP network
capability.

Then we can access the clips on the HD with a computer on the network
- connected by either CAT-5 or WiFi - and edit/author the MPG files,
leaving them on the unit's HD to play on the TV. We would not even
need a DVD recorder on the unit - just a DVD player.

And we also need a built-in 3-channel TV tuner so we can record up to
3 programs at the same time off our antenna feed - no subscriptions to
DVRs needed.

Please let me know when such a unit becomes available.
