Hello,
I have a model thats close to what you have.
I bought a Emerson dvd recorder EWR 10D4 at Wall-Mart almost a year
ago ( Tax Time ).
I paid $160.00 and i had a lot of problems with it. It played
fine...as long as i didn't hit the pause button. I have replaced 2 of
them because every time i would hit the pause,it would screw up the
picture.The first one i just exchanged the unit for a new one.Then the
secnd one i had to deal with the company ( my 60 day coverage was
expired at wall-mart ) But i wasen't going to pay anything to get it
fixed. I had to fax some info to them and ups came to my door and picked
it up. I was really suprsed though that it came back in about a week.So
now i don't use the pause button. It seems to be working fine. I should
of looked at consumer reports. I see that the panasonic models were
among he top brands and had few repairs.
