Sorry about the heading I couldn't think of a suitable short heading.

When deleting an advert in the middle of recorded TV I find on
playback that there's a slight pause at the edited point (start of the
advert and end of the advert), do other DVD recorders have this
problem?
It's a pity as it makes it difficult to have a smooth running
recording of for example a video camera recording made on holiday.

The only way I can see to avoid that slight pause would be to have the
DVD recorder buffer the recording ahead of time, that is store the
recording in memory a few seconds before displaying it to the viewer.
