It won't be. All DVDs are fixed at a far lower resolution than even
720p high-definition material. This is a restriction of the DVD format
itself, not the player. What the DVD player will do is 'upscale' the
picture to a higher resolution before sending it to the TV. Almost
without fail, this will look *lower* quality than just sending the TV
the footage as it appears on the disc and allowing it to do the
upscaling itself, especially in the case of a cheap DVD player connected
to an expensive TV.

There is absolutely no advantage to having HDMI-out on a standard DVD
player - except, possibly, where you have nothing but an HDMI-in spare
on your TV or projector.
