Or you can get a DVD burner that either does not have Riplock (NEC
3550 is alleged not to have Riplock), one that has hack firmware that
defeats Riblock (NEC 3540) or one that has manufacturer-supplied
external software to defeat Riplock (Plextor ???).
I have the NEC 3540 and use L&D 1.W8 hack f/w.

The next burner will be the 3550 or whatever new revision is available
at the time. Hopefully I won't have to hac the f/w, although it is no
big deal if you are careful. The hack f/w has a couple of other things
that the manufacturers will likely never take out: RPC1 and
Bitsetting. I do not need region spoofing nor bitsetting so I can get
by with a stock 3550. If you are in Europe it's the 4550.

Our revels now are ended. These are actors as I foretold
you were all spirits and are melted into air, into thin air,
and like the baseless fabric of this vision, the cloud-capped
towers, the gorgeous palaces, the solemn temples, the great
globe itself, yea, and all that it inherits, has dissolved,
and like this insubstantial pageant faded, leaves not a rack
behind. We are such stuff as dreams are made on, and our little
life is rounded with a sleep.
