Well, for one reason, there is the space requirement. With the same
space usage, I have two DVD players (so I can copy DVD's) plus the one
VCR player. Works good for limited space availability.

Second, I have already bought the combo and I had the other DVD player.

Third, I can always put the Macrovision thing between the two DVD
devices or if a VCR issue comes up, I have a another VCR player I can
move in easily.

Now, Big Bad Bob, tell me something I don't know about DVD recording,
which is a lot; differences between the -and + R and RW formats; tips
on editing and establishing chapters using just the DVD unit ( I don't
have a PC, just a WebTV ).
That's what I am looking to learn about. Where is the best place to
learn that stuff.
