I'm no sure why you don't want to edit and author the movie files which are
already on your computer, using your computer?

You could get a DVD burner for your computer, use VideoReDo to edit the
files and TMPGenc DVD Author to create nice menus and burn to DVD. Each has
a 30 day free trial and costs $50. I use the LG 4167 ($43 dollars,
including shipping.) from www.newegg.com and it works well.

If it is because you don't want to install and internal DVD burner in you
computer, Sam's has an external LG burner for $99.

It will take a little effort to learn these two programs, but you will be
able to create very nice DVDs.

Just something to consider.

Otherwise, I guess you need a video card with TV outputs to your standalone
DVD recorder.
