Divx 6.x uninstalls quite easily. I found it not only worthless but
also it interfered with the operation of other player programs, even
when the source file was xvid! Using Divx default profiles, a
converted test file did play on my year+ old stand alone divx
certified players. I've uninstalled the first release and subsequently
the update, after trying it to see whether its behavior was any
better.
I am using WinXPHE and almost always have a checkpoint to roll back to
after an install. It didn't seem necessary, but there was no harm in
doing the roll back either!
