Hi John, Thanks. I've got the 3 wire composite wires going from the vcr to the dvd and from the dvd
to the tv. I also have the co-axial wires connected. When I select video-1 and watch on the tv's aux
channel I get the black box.
But when I select tuner (the co-ax) and watch on channel 3 ( supposedly this signal is just supposed
to feed straight through to the tv ) I still get the black boxes.
The ILO DVD is doing something to the signal no matter what input or output I use, even the one
that's not supposed to do anything. Yes I also tried tuner as input and watching on the aux channel.
I've e-mailed to ILO support, I'll see if they have anything to say.
Just on the chance that it might have been a bad unit, I've already taken the first one back and the
new one is the same.
By the way, both are DVDR05MU.
Thanks again
