Hi Brian,

It sounds to me, as if, you are trying to reencode directly from the DVD
drive. It's not a good idea to do this. It takes way to long to do it this
way. The files can only be processes at the speed of the drive. I recommend
you download the DVD to your HD first, then encode to Divx. Lots of free
software out there to do this (DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, DVD Fab
Decrypter), just to name a few.

After downloading try Avi.Net.
