I've just tried setting up this recorder, and the following problems occur:

1. After finding all the channels, instead of showing me a TV picture, the
screen becomes snowy, as if the machine were in timer standby mode. The
picture can be seen, however, but only through the Manual Tuning menu, and
with the Options Menus on top. Once I press the Return button, to come out
of Tuning, the screen gets snowy again.

2. I'm also unable to get a picture through any of the AV channels.

3. I've tried putting in Imation DVD+RW disks (several of them), but the
machine doesn't recognize them. It gives various messages, including "No
disc" and "Unsupport". It is able to read pre-recorded DVDs, however.

Any suggestions?
