I am trying to rip a "book on CD" to the smallest possible digital
format so I can get as much as possible on a Sansa M240 (1GB) player.
It handles WMA, so that would appear to be the best choice.
I get down to around 20MB per hour of audio, but see that the files
are stereo. I see no option in my ripping software to convert stereo
to mono (called "downmixing" I think). I have Raptor and Windows
Media Player.
I do not know if the tracks are different for these CD's. It would be
nice to be able to pick "left" or "right" or "mix" when converting.
Can someone please suggest software for this task?
